Olympics 2010 Update: Men's Hockey - CANADA WINS!

Erasing the memories of 2006, Canada beats Switzerland through a shoot-out goal by Sidney Crosby. Final score: 3-2! One step closer in taking gold! GO CANADA!

Valentine's!

Happy Valentine's to EVERYONE! =)

Well, I hope you guys are all enjoying your Valentine's.
Unlike single people like me *tear tear*, I'm stuck at home studying for midterms for this week ;(. Very pitiful, I know.

Another successful season has come and gone. Please look forward to the next season taking place this summer, and this time, it's another TEEN EDITION! I can't wait!!

GO TEAM CANADA!

IT'S FINALLY HERE! THE 2010 OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES!

Of course, I'll be cheering on Team Canada =), but GOOD LUCK to the best athletes of the world.

I'm also amazed by the large teams that have come to the ceremony, especially Switzerland (146), Germany (153), Russia (177), the United States of America (215), and Canada (206).

For those who didn't watch the Opening Ceremony (in which case, I'd call you insane for not!), it was spectacular! Canada has outdone themselves in every performance performed, as well as the architects, technicians, volunteers, workers, etc. for a job well done. Although there were some complications with the lighting of the Internal Torch, the ceremony was still well-displayed. A special performance was included by the Four Great Nations of the North, and the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada; in which they wore their traditional outfits and showed their traditional dances. They welcomed the entire world with open arms.

The Olympic 2010 Games were officially opened by non-other than the Governor General of Canada, and Representative for Canada to the Queen of England, Michaelle Jean.

During the ceremony, a 1-minute moment of silence was given for the fallen luge athlete of Georgia, Nodar Kumaritashvili, who died the morning of the Opening Ceremony due to a training accident in the Whistler Sliding Centre. It was said that the 2010 Winter Olympics was to make his first Olympic debut. I am sorry for his family, as well as his friends, supporters, fellow team mates and more, for this tragic loss.

Canadian celebrities also made appearances, including Nelly Furtado, Bryan Adams, and Sarah McLaughlan, who performed the official song of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The Olympic Flame was carried by 5 of the best athletes of Canada, including (by order): Paralympian Multiple Gold Medalist, Rick Hansen; 2-time back-to-back Gold Medalist and 5-time World Champion Speedskater, Catriona LeMay Doan; 2-time NBA MVP, Steve Nash; 1968 Olympic Ski Champion and Canada's Female Athlete of the 20th Century, Nancy Greene; and NHL's hocky superstar and infamous "The Great One", Wayne Gretzky. The Internal Torch was lit by Nancy Greene, Steve Nash, Catriona LeMay Doan, and Wayne Gretzky, while the External Torch was lit by the legend himself, Wayne Gretzky.

Here is a chart of the competitions and games in the 2010 Olympics (credit goes to Wikipedia):

Well, that's all for now. Once again, good luck to all the athletes who will be competing in the games.

GO TEAM CANADA!

HAPPY 19TH to my BHESSIE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
Just a small shoutout to my bhessie of 4 years + counting =D.
We've been through so much, good times and bad.
I hope that we can continue doing so.
We created so many good memories in high school.
I'll definitely treasure them always.
Remember: I LOVE YOU LOADS!
Congrats on finally being legal!
=D

hello hello!

YO! My first post of the year 2010!

Well, it's definitely been a while since I last posted here. Sorry about that! Too busy with all the exams and assignments and stuff, and I never really got the time to post T T. SO, this may be a month late, but.. MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS and BELATED NEW YEAR'S! ^ ^;..

Semester 2 Courses (those are the real course codes, but the names are a little different xP:
CAN 190 - Canadian Politics
LGL 201 - ADR
LGL 214 - Computers
LGL 215 - Immigration Law
LGL 226 - Administrative Law PT2
LGL 231 - Employment Law
LGL 237 - Landlord & Tenant Law

Life's been hectic as usual. I started my second semester of four at my college on January 11th, and my courses have gotten even harder. T T. My professors aren't as bad.. except for my Administrative Law class. It remains the same as last semester: BORING and LAME. Of course, I have my favorites ^ ^.. but very few. My schedule's pretty much all break. I may start at 8 in the morning for my classes and they may run for 3 hours straight, but I finish at 3:20pm at most, with 2-3 hour breaks in between =D. So, I just chill with my new "crew" as one of my friends puts it xP.

The best thing this semester: FRIDAYS I HAVE OFF. =D. You can imagine how happy I am.

The worst thing this semester: ONT COLLEGES MAY GO ON STRIKE. It's been voted that they might do one if an agreement isn't met soon. If there's no agreement, the strike will probably happen around mid-February. =( Because of all this stupid-ness, my vacation to Philippines this summer is most likely a big FLOP.

Anywhos, that's pretty much the summary of everything that happened so far. I didn't do much during break, truth be told. I stayed home.. played games (xD).. catch on sleep.. pretty much hibernated. =) OH! And I still didn't get my present from a certain SOMEONE (who shall not be named but knows who she is!) because she keeps POSTPONING everything! (A small group of my friends and I decided to do Secret Santa, and the person who has my present didn't give it to me yet!) I'm probably going to visit her house randomly sometime soon and get my present, since she lives down the street. The only thing stopping me: her dad Q_Q. So yeah...

An update of the coming week:
Monday - school... and ice skating with my friend (yes, we have a skating rink at my campus) =D
Tuesday - more school...
Wednesday - school again... and Fairview with my homies for a good, solid 3 hours ^ ^
Thursday - ugh, school... and I have an assignment due for my Politics class...
Friday - BREAK! Sleep in!

Okays, well... that's all I'm going to say for now since I have nothing else to talk about. Back to studying!

We Got Married (우리 결혼했어요)

One of the best reality TV shows by Korea I've watched. It's full of humor, drama, and most importantly, romance. Very HIGHLY recommended! I noticed that finding episodes for this TV series is complicated, so I will provide you all with the episodes here to the best of my abilities. Enjoy!

(P.S. Should there be any problems with the link, please let me know so that I can fix it right away =])
